Uganda’s first two National Action Plans (NAPs) mostly focused on addressing gender-based violence issues and were not costed. The third NAP (2021-2025) is costed and has a widened scope to include 4 major outcomes for focus:
1: All forms of violence prevented and conflicts resolved
2: Good governance enhanced at all levels
3: Natural and human made disasters are prevented and mitigates
4: Systems and structures for the implementation and coordination of the NAP III strengthened
Uganda’s third NAP is a high impact NAP developed after conducting nationwide consultations that informed the 4 major outcomes. In addition to being costed the NAP has an M&E framework and a funding mechanism to mobilize resources for its implementation
